Scenario
The Heads of Year at The Ilfracombe Academy have approached you to help out with their tutor group competitions. Mr.Tilley (Year 7), Mrs.Swailes-Smith (Year 8) and Mr.Whitney (Year 9) are looking for several events spread out across the year to help promote team spirit and healthy competition.
The tutor competitions are usually run across the year with one event happening each term. There are 6 tutor groups in Year 7, 6 in Year 8 and 7 in Year 9; that all compete within their own year group.

Task 01 - (P2)
You will need to get in to small groups in order to plan your event. You will need to produce an agenda and minute each meeting you have.

- What is the event size, aims, objectives and location?
- Who is your target audience?
- What will your timings be for the event and what resources and equipment do you need?
- Have you thought about staffing, budget, costings and constraints?
- Have you carried out a risk assessment for the event?
- Have you prepared informed consent/disclaimers for participants or customers?
- Have you considered contingency planning?
- Does evey team member have individual roles and responsibilities?
- Have you thought about first aid proceedures?
- How can you effectively promote the event?
- Have you decided how to evaluate the event?

Using the minutes from the previous meeting, produce a plan for your event, clearly identifying a task list and timeline for the plan, assigning responsibilities to tasks. Don't forget to add regular meetings to your plans, and keep correspondance of any communications.

Task 03 - (P4)
Before you run your event, you will need to consider how you will collect feedback from the participants on how successful your event was. Design and produce a questionnaire.

Once your teacher is satisified that all of the necessary planning has been put in place. you are ready to run your event. Film the event and take several images for your portfolios. Upload and print your work off.
Task 05 - (P5)
Give out the questionnaires you produced in Task 03 and collate the results. Assess the results and identify areas of strengths and areas for improvement (P5).
