Assignment 3 - Staff training on work placement
Assignment Information
Different organisations and facilities will have their own health and safety mechanisms in place, such as dedicated accident/incident reporting system and how they conduct risk assessment of their facilities. There are some nationally recognised health and safety procedures which have to be followed by law - failure to do so could result in prosecution against either an organisation or an individual.
Legal action against someone who has not followed legal procedures is resulting in more and more court cases. Therefore if you are working in an organisation it is vital that you make sure you have appropirate training and are qualified in certain aspects of health and safety e.g. first aid and follow the procedures.
Should anything untoward happen and you have been trained or hold an appropirate qualification, and if you followed the stated procedures, then you will always be protected by law against a prosecution because you have followed the legal requirements and accepted procedures.
